The design problem I was trying to solve was that modern constructions don’t emphasise open spaces. This building encourages the use of ecological space and natural elements like trees.

For this prototype, I started with making sketches of singular shapes that could be arranged in multiple orientations. From the sketches I developed proof of concepts before moving on to the prototype, which I laser cut and assembled.

I enjoyed seeing my friends playing with these blocks and arranging them in ways I didn’t initially think of, proving their versatility in integrating multiple forms of architecture.

I see a design like this incorporated to build malls, museums, office spaces and campuses that want more open spaces in their design.
