Packaging and branding

This project was for a graphic design class. I was inspired by the evolving gift-giving culture in India, particularly among the upper-middle class, where premium chocolates have become a popular alternative to traditional sweets.
The goal was to create a culturally rooted yet contemporary chocolate brand designed specifically for gifting and travel retail. Each chocolate variety draws inspiration from a different Indian region, with packaging that reflects local culture through illustrations of regional artefacts, floral patterns, and flavours based on traditional sweets.
The design language was shaped by the need to balance cultural specificity with a sense of modern luxury, making the product suitable for both Indian travellers and international buyers seeking meaningful, high-quality souvenirs.
